Thinking about Becoming a Certified Volunteer Administrator (CVA)?
Tuesday, December 13  9:30 am – 10:30 am EST
Have you thought about the next step in your volunteer management career? Could becoming a Certified Volunteer Administrator (CVA) be a part of your vision? To prepare for the Spring 2023 exam (or beyond), now may be the right time to make the first step. Hear about general information as well as from those who went through the process: preparation, sitting for the test and the benefits of becoming a CVA! Speakers will be Susan Sanow, CVA, Volunteer Fairfax and Carol Ayars, CVA, The Capital Area Agency on Aging, Richmond, VA.
Managing Up for Volunteer Managers
Tuesday, December 20 2 pm – 3 pm  EST
Whether or not you are officially the boss of anyone or even if you have the word “manager” in your title, chances are that as the leader of volunteers at an organization, you are managing people, projects or both! At this workshop, we will consider your roles as a leader to your volunteers and your other voices needed in the management of the entire organization. We will talk about determining what volunteers really want and what your boss really wants … and how to adjust your work practices whether managing up or down.
Dial-in information will be provided to you prior to the webinar. If you have any questions about Volunteer Fairfax’s educational opportunities, just ask! Contact Susan Sanow.
