July Accomplishments

Teacher-Mentor Institute

Thanks to 9 BEST volunteers, our team successfully introduced 6 new teachers -mentors to BEST and improved the skills of 4 experienced teachers - mentors. Those participating came from Heartland, Golden Plains, Front Range and Rocky Mountain BEST hubs.

Returnable Kits Ready

WOW! A team of 5 BEST volunteers has worked since the beginning of the year to inventory, test, and repair our consumable kits returned from 2022 teams. Next up the consumable kits that are getting close.

Outreach 2023

CACTE CareerTech Summi

Our volunteers used the Colorado Association of Career and Technical Education's yearly conference to introduce hundreds of teachers to our FREE BEST program. With the diversity of CTE scope, our program is not a good fit for all their members, but we were successful in obtaining leads for BEST volunteers, teachers and other support.

Incision Decision

Game Field Cut Day

Awesome Job! A team of 8 volunteers in the July heat executed the plan developed after hours of studying drawings and obtaining materials to get a majority of the cut items ready for the volunteer Game Field builders. The goal is to work with the Front Range BEST volunteers to have a 2023 game field ready in early September to reveal the game to teams.
