Councell Farms Gleaning a Success!
Thank you to all SVdP members who came out to help glean the fields last fall at Councell Farms...the turnout was spectacular. 6500 lbs. of broccoli, collard greens, kale and a variety of squashes were harvested and distributed at the food pantry. A special thank you to Councell Farms for generously sharing their harvest with others in need!
THANK YOU to Koons Toyota of Easton, who donated $1,000 in support of the Society of St. Vincent de Paul’s “Dine Out and Feed the Hungry” discount card, which provides savings at 15 Talbot County restaurants, at a card cost of $25. Koons has been an ongoing supporter of St. Vincent de Paul for the last several years. Pictured here are (L-R) Society Marketing Rep Ed Marcoon and Koons Toyota/Scion General Manager J.T. Thompson.
Holiday Sharing...

St. Vincent de Paul Vice-President Steve Cossu presenting Natalie Brooks, Student Services Worker and McKinney-Vento (Homeless) Liaison, Talbot County Board of Education with gift cards as Christmas gifts for children listed as homeless within the Talbot County School System. Currently there are over 170 homeless children within the county. Making the season a little brighter.
Detention Center Holiday Party
The Talbot County Detention Center Holiday Party was held in December for detainees and their families. Thank you to all the SVdP volunteers who provided a delicious meal, activities and gifts for the children. Santa and Mother Goose were both in attendance for the festivities, making the event which brings families together during the holidays even more special.
2019 Easton Holiday Parade
The St. Vincent de Paul van, driven by our own John Syarto, participated in this year's holiday parade in downtown Easton. It was a chilly evening, but volunteers were warmed by the MANY compliments and appreciative comments they received from parade attendees.

"Did You Know?"

Little Rascals provides cocktail and prom dresses for teens at bargain prices. SVdP gives the dresses that are donated to our center and takes them to Little Rascals. Spread the word to all those young girls who might be looking for an inexpensive dress for the big dance. If you see a teen at the food pantry or thrift shop, tell them where they might find a dress.
SAVE THE DATE:

Thursday, March 19, 202 will be this year's Vinnie & Pat's Party. Watch your email for further information regarding time and location.

A donation of $10 per person is being asked to help defray the cost of this dinner. There will be a basket at the sign in table for this purpose. Thank you for your support.
Angel Tree 2019
675 tags equaling 2,500 total gifts were taken by parishioners for this year's Angel Tree gift collection which benefited seven local agencies. Photos of the piles of gifts at the drop off center are shown below. Thank you to all who donated items, those who organized the event, those volunteered in shifts to collect the gifts and those who sorted and delivered the gifts. A special thank you to Scott and Mary Ellen Carter (owners of Express Employment Professionals) for again providing their space to us for this purpose. Many local residents had a brighter Christmas because of all of your efforts and generosity.
