Texas Golf Association Announcement:

TGA CORONAVIRUS STATEMENT

(from April 1)

First and foremost, we sincerely hope you, your family, friends and neighbors are all healthy and staying safe. These certainly are strange and stressful times, and the TGA’s top priority is the well-being of the entire TGA Family.

After careful consideration, we suspended all competitions and golf activities indefinitely but at least through May 3. This includes all Championships, Qualifiers, Medalist Events, Fun Golf and Golf 101 events. Anyone currently registered for an event between now and May 3 will receive a full refund.

As we settle into this temporary “new normal,” we want you to know the TGA continues to regularly monitor the situation. Click here , to read the full TGA Statement from April 1.

KEY INFORMATION

The 2020 U.S. Open has been rescheduled to Sept. 17-20 at Winged Foot.

The 2020 U.S. Women's Open has been rescheduled to Dec. 9-13 at Champions Golf Club.

U.S. Open and U.S. Women's Open qualifying will be rescheduled. Dates and sites are TBD.

The TGA has updated its 111th Texas Amateur qualifying schedule. Please view it here.

Texas League Play has been rescheduled to Aug. 27-30 at Horseshoe Bay Resort.

The Legends Junior Tour has rescheduled the 2020 Bluebonnet Championship to Sept. 26-27 at Brownwood Country Club.

Statement from Allied Associations: COVID-19 & Golf

On Tuesday, April 14, the Texas Golf Association, Texas Alliance of Recreation Organizations (TARO), Club Management Association of America (CMAA), Golf Course Superintendents Association of America (GCSAA), Northern Texas PGA (NTPGA) and Southern Texas PGA (STPGA) drafted a message following Governor Abbott's comments about golf amidst the ongoing COVID-19 crisis.

USGA Launches $5M Relief Fund for AGA's

To continue to serve the game of golf at the grassroots level and provide immediate financial support to golf communities in need, the USGA has established an emergency relief fund for its 59 Allied Golf Association members with an investment of up to $5 million.

The Texas Golf Association is proud to host the 111th Texas Amateur at Boot Ranch in Fredericksburg on June 18-21.

Please inform those who may be interested in playing in the state's longest running amateur championship that player registration was extended to April 22 .

Stars Fore Stars: TGA Foundation Dinner Canceled

The Stars Fore Stars Foundation Dinner has been CANCELED due to the ongoing COVID-19 (coronavirus) crisis. The TGA Foundation has not set a new date for the event.

The Texas Golf Association Volunteer Program was formed in 2005 with only a handful of volunteers. Today, the program proudly hosts a roster of 250 men and women including several on USGA boards and committees.
