Texas Golf Association Announcement:

Successful Return to Championship Golf

On June 2-4, the Legends Junior Tour hosted the 21st Veritex Bank Byron Nelson Junior Championship at Lakewood Country Club in Dallas. It was the first event managed by the TGA/LJT since early March.

With Governor Abbott's executive orders on public health and COVID-19 in place, the TGA was confident and committed to hosting a safe tournament for players, spectators, volunteers and staff. For more on competitive golf's return in Texas and the TGA's new guidelines, click here .

Lone Star Golf: "The Show Goes On"

This month's edition of Lone Star Golf features the 111th Texas Amateur. The TGA takes a closer look at the inspiring Boot Ranch Golf Club as well as the efforts of the TGA Championship Department and Boot Ranch staff to get this year's championship rescheduled.

Updated TGA COVID-19 Guidelines

The TGA's Championship Department and Championship Committee have updated the COVID-19 Championship Guidelines. These new policies will be in effect for all TGA and LJT tournaments for the foreseeable future. Please review the guidelines below.

TGA Foundation:

TGA Foundation Launches New Initiative in San Antonio

The Texas Golf Association Foundation is launching the Youth on Course program in the San Antonio area for 2020.

Youth on Course (YOC) gives juniors access to play golf for $5 or less at 11 courses in the San Antonio area, as well as more courses all over the country. To learn more about the program, check out the link below.

TGA Volunteer Program:

The Texas Golf Association Volunteer Program was formed in 2005 with only a handful of volunteers. Today, the program proudly hosts a roster of 250 men and women including several on USGA boards and committees.
