Sat, April 15 - Sun, April 23. Literations will not be running coaching sessions at our schools or Boys & Girls clubs during the April break.

Workshop: Valuing and Maximizing Diversity in Mentoring (optional)
Thursday, April 20 at 4pm. The fourth in a series of volunteer workshops this school year hosted by AARP Experience Corps. You should record as "training" hours if you attend.


Virtual Coffee Hour - Trivia Time! (optional)
Friday, April 21 at 10am. Grab your morning cuppa and join other Literations folks for a (virtual) hour of sipping coffee and playing trivia, brain teasers, and riddles.


LC Zoom Drop-In for Coaches of English Learners (optional)

Have you had an English learner (EL) student this year or last year? Perhaps your student or your student's teacher or parent shared that the student speaks another language at home and is learning English in school. We want to understand your experiences better to ensure Literations offers our coaches relevant resources and training for supporting EL students.

Literations is excited to announce a new open position for a full-time Outreach Coordinator. This recruiter will bring in new volunteers to serve as Literacy Coaches in Boston and Framingham. We're looking for someone who has a strong commitment to working with older adults from various communities and will feel excited about the opportunity to develop and deepen community relationships and partnerships.

Experience Corps Survey
AARP Foundation Experience Corps (EC) sent a satisfaction survey to volunteers serving in all EC programs throughout the country Tuesday, April. 11. We welcome you to provide your feedback about your Literations experience in that survey. Literations will also be sending out end of program year surveys later in May.
