Virtual Coffee Hour: Interactive Drawing (OPTIONAL)

Drawing is a beautiful way to connect with the world and with yourself. Bring something to draw with and something to draw on, and enjoy time making art with friends!

Volunteer Meet-Up (OPTIONAL)

Volunteer Meet-Ups are AARP Foundation Experience Corps events designed to create spaces for volunteers to celebrate, connect with the community, and collect stories. They are social events with conversation guided by a facilitator.

Virtual Coffee Hour: Scavenger Hunt (OPTIONAL)

We will learn what the Google Arts & Culture platform has to offer. We will explore the available content as small groups and then report back to the full group.

Virtual Coffee Hour: Brain Olympics (OPTIONAL)

Rev up your mind with brain teasers, riddles, word puzzles, trivia, and more! No need to prepare...just bring an open mind and a sense of humor.

Virtual Coffee Hour: Guided Meditation (OPTIONAL)

We will begin with breathing exercises and centering. Then we will reflect on relationships formed during our work with Literations – perhaps, a special relationship with a child you are tutoring now or in the past.

National Reading Month

March is National Reading Month, let's raise a collective cheer for the volunteers of Literations! Together, you're building a world where every child has the opportunity to explore, imagine, and thrive through the power of reading.

Your team will receive a stack of Literations reading logs next week to share with your students, encouraging them to write down all the great books they read throughout March. You, too, can share what you're reading in your spare time and why you love to read. Talking to children about what you're reading sends the signal that reading is important (and enjoyable!) at every age.
