Introducing
Have you heard? We are now
Literations
For those of you who joined our Lighting the Spark event last week, you heard the exciting news! For those of you who did not, we are thrilled to share that

Literacy + Generations =

Literations

As a Literations volunteer, The GI Link and your email will stay the same for the rest of the program year. While you may notice that staff emails have changed to Literations, any email sent to our former GI email will be forwarded and received without issue.

We announced our new name to our Boston school partners. Like many of you, they have known us for a long time as Generations Incorporated, so it may take some time and some reminders that we are now Literations!

Our name is new.
Our commitment is not.

Looking for Literacy Coaches! We've already started our recruitment efforts for this fall. Due to the pandemic, students on average will be five to nine months off their learning pace by the end of June 2021. We know that one of the solutions is within reach — research shows that 1:1 tutoring and mentoring programs help bridge the learning gap. Literations is squarely positioned to support our partners by providing dedicated reading coaching and mentoring to students who need it most. Invite a friend to learn more and join our vibrant and engaging volunteer community!

Literations is hiring! We are looking for an outstanding candidate to serve as our new Volunteer Coordinator. For years, our volunteers have been our best employee candidates and referrers! Please let us know of anyone who might be well-suited for the role.

In the News
We got some great press in Monday's Boston Globe.
