Franklin Park Walk (optional)
Friday, May 19 at 12pm. Join us for a walk around the golf course loop path (2.25 scenic miles) with other fellow volunteers and staff members (bring a friend)! The group will meet outside the Franklin Park Golf Clubhouse. Please register so we know who's coming!


End-of-Year Site Celebrations
Each site will be celebrating the year-end in May/June. You will hear more from your program staff and/or team leader in the next few weeks. We will update THE LINK as dates/times/locations are confirmed.

The Literations Program and Recruitment/Training Teams have reviewed all of your feedback, and we're listening! We are working on (or already rolled out) the following improvements based on your recommendations.

Fall 2023 Preservice Training Updates
  • More opportunities for practice and roleplay
  • Differentiated content for new and experienced coaches
  • More time dedicated to Emergent Reader Program
  • More time understanding data entry requirements and tools

Programmatic Updates
  • More RAZ titles (11 new "blue book" titles in March)
  • More read-aloud titles (15 new library books + recommended read aloud list in March)
  • More support/ideas for harder-to-engage students
  • More info on expected reading progression/skills for grades 1-4

Literacy Coaches
We have 7 in-person and 5 virtual info sessions scheduled for the summer (to be added soon to OUR WEBSITE)! Please tell your friends, neighbors, colleagues, clerk at your grocery store (you get the picture)...become a literacy coach with Literations next school year!

Outreach Coordinator (staff)
Do you know an outgoing person who is invested in their community? Literations is looking for a full-time outreach coordinator to be our boots-on-the-ground recruiter for new literacy coaches in Boston and Framingham. Please direct anyone interested to OUR WEBSITE.
