Thank you to everyone who participated in our Valentines for Seniors Program last month!  1050 valentines were created and distributed at 11 different care facilities across Mesa!  Meaning lots of love and smiles were shared!

Smoke Alarm Safety Walk

8AM - 12PM

Volunteers are needed to complete smoke alarm safety walks of homes in the Washington/Escobedo neighborhood on Saturday, April 6, 2019 from 8AM- 12PM.  Volunteers will be given a brief training session prior to the walk explaining what to look for during the fire safety check.  Volunteers must be 18 years of age or older to participate.  Donuts will be provided!

CycloMesa 2019

Volunteers are needed for CycloMesa, an exciting biking event taking place in downtown Mesa on April 6, 2019.  A variety of duties are available, including helping set up and tear down, working the information table, helping with kids' activities, handing out water, and monitoring various areas.  This would be a great opportunity for adults and teens alike, especially those wanting to earn volunteer hours for various groups or organizations.  Several different shifts are available.

Celebration of Freedom
Citywide Event

It's time to grab your volunteer spot for our 2019 Celebration of Freedom Event!  This is our 10th year and we plan to make it the biggest and best yet!

Volunteers  are needed for a variety of
shifts and activities including
entertainment stages, splash zones, kid zones, volunteer check-in, event entry, and many more! Volunteers must be 18 years of age, 16 with a parent signature, or 14 with a parent
accompaniment.

The Arizona Celebration of Freedom will be full of entertainment, live music, patriotic displays, family fun, fireworks, food trucks, and much, much more!

Arizona Museum of Natural History Volunteer Opportunities

The Arizona Museum of Natural History has a variety of on-going volunteer opportunities.  These include Gallery Interpreters, Exploration Station Facilitators, Courtyard Guides, and Mesa Grande Interpretive Guides.  There are tons of benefits to volunteering the AzMNH including:

The City of Mesa Volunteer Office's Tool Lending Program currently offers over 35 different tools available for loan.  The tools can be used for a variety of purposes, including volunteer efforts, home improvement and gardening and landscaping.  This is a free service to Mesa residents and property owners.  To find a list of available tools, visit www.mesaaz.gov/toollending.

Neighbors Helping Neighbors Program

The Neighbors Helping Neighbors Program is a means of assisting Mesa residents who, due to physical limitations are experiencing difficulties maintaining the exterior of their homes.  This program also assists neighborhoods in completing community enhancement projects such as clean ups and painting projects that improve the look of the neighborhood.  Projects can include assistance with landscaping, exterior painting, wall paintings, etc.  All work is completed by community volunteers and must be appropriate for volunteers to assist with.  Visit our site to find program application and information.
