CHARITY HIGHLIGHT

The Dubin Center provides training for caregivers and persons living with a dementia-related diagnosis through their Savvy Caregiver and Dealing with Dementia courses. The center is also available to coach caregivers through daily challenges often encountered by those living with dementia and is available to support caregivers by offering crisis support. Support groups are offered once per month and Zoom options are available to enable those caregivers who travel north to stay connected during the rest of the year.

Testimonial: "On behalf of the Board of Trustees , Advisory Council, staff and volunteers of the Dubin

Center, I would like to thank the Pelican Sound Charitable Foundation for the grant of $15,000. Your donation supports our vision by ensuring that no one in Southwest Florida faces dementia alone. Your grant allows us to provide free evidence-based educational training for family caregivers. These programs help caregivers become more confident while offering tips and strategies to address daily needs of their loved one with patience and respect. This generous grant also enables us to offer free caregiver support groups and guidance through navigating a wide variety of vital local resources available to

caregivers facing this journey. Thank you for supporting our mission to achieve caregiver health, strength and resilience by providing education, information, hope and compassion. We could not do this important work without you and are grateful for your help."
