National Anti-Boredom Month

When fending off boredom, it's essential to understand the symptoms and the underlying causes. We often associate being bored with having nothing to do, but that's not always the case.

POP on the Beach

5th Annual POP Weekend Retreat

"You have to be locked in, not twisted, to have an impact on today's youth."

-Dr. Carlos Reid

Freeport, Grand Bahama, was once again the place for the Parenting on Purpose (POP) Annual Weekend Retreat. Attendees were treated to various speakers, including a surprise moment from Dr. Carlos Reid, as they were educated in the strategies and practices of the POP 9-week program. The retreat left participants excited and ready to plan their parenting curricula. The POP series teaches guidelines to implement while parenting your children, preparing for future children, and reparenting yourself.

“Every parent should attend this retreat at least once a year. The philosophy and knowledge gained is invaluable. It equips you with the knowledge needed to raise responsible adults. You don't know how much you are lacking as a parent until you attend the workshops and you are so much better for it. “.

“The POP retreat offers you life skills in a concise and collaborative way that make you forget you’re even at a retreat. It not only encourages you to think about your own habits and routines, but gives you an opportunity to learn from others as well. Whether you’re a parent or not, this class is for you (as long as continuous self-improvement is your goal!)”

“It’s a very meaningful course that I recommend ANYONE to take simply because of the value it can add to one’s life (single persons) and for those who are currently parents. It’s also a course that I would suggest to be taken continuously as the world changes daily so we can remain abreast of overcoming negative affects of the external forces.”

“I enjoyed this retreat, the coordinators were very welcoming as well as the participants. The lesson on Parenting on Purpose was very informative and even though I don’t have children now I will most definitely incorporate the lessons that I’ve learned when I do have children.”

As a parent, facing the ups and downs of raising children, you're often met with situations that stir frustration and anger. It's normal, yet managing these moments effectively is crucial for a healthy family environment.

But keeping your cool is often easier said than done.

Understanding and managing anger in parenting is a skill that can be learned and mastered. This book, "Practical Anger Management for Parents", is a comprehensive guide that empowers you with knowledge and practical tools to transform your parenting experience.

By the end of this book, you will have a deep understanding of how to harness anger positively, enhancing your relationship with your children.

When Guy (Ryan Reynolds), an inventive young man, comes into Eep's (Emma Stone) life, her father, Grug (Nicolas Cage), sees his status as the protector of the family threatened. When their cave is destroyed, the Croods have no choice but to trust the newcomer and set out to explore a spectacular landscape filled with fantastic creatures, strange surprises and a whole new world of adventure!
