2026 is off to a good start. Over 230 new volunteers have joined the VRP Program since December 1st!

For those volunteers that were in the program prior to 2026, please remember to fill out the short 2025 VRP Program Healthcare Volunteer survey that will be sent out in late February. We value your feedback and reporting of volunteer hours. This is a requirement to maintain enrollment in the program. The VRP Program Site survey will be sent out in March.

Find volunteer opportunities in your county or surrounding counties. If you are already enrolled in the VRP Program and have malpractice insurance, it works at any of the VRP Program sites. If you would like to be connected with a site or have any questions, please contact us here.

Consejo Counseling's Health & Wellness Adult Services in Renton is looking for a nurse to volunteer for a few hours per week. They are also in need of an ARNP or MD to volunteer two days per week. Please contact them here if interested.

The 2026 Seattle/King County Clinic, which will be held April 23-26, 2026, is only weeks away. Find flyers, social media graphics, assignment descriptions, and more at seattlecenter.org/volunteers.

The 16th Annual Hilltop Healthy Kids & Family event is taking place on Saturday, February 21st, at People's Community Center (1602 Martin Luther King, Jr. Way) in Tacoma. Free dental cleanings, blood pressure checks and other services will be provided. Find more information here and join the fun!

License renewal changes

The VRP Program offers free licenses renewals to providers who only use their license to volunteer. VRP Program renewals go through a different process. You fill out the specific VRP Program renewal form and the Continuing Education attestation is on the form itself. If you prefer to mail or email the form, you can download the PDF version here. Please make sure to submit at least one to two months in advance to avoid delays.
