Pick an opportunity: Help Clermont County students become 'work ready'


The Workforce Readiness Initiative is gearing up for the 2014-2015 school year with an exciting selection of ways you can be involved in preparing Clermont County students for the future.  Pick your favorite from the list below...or tell us your own ideas.  Any of these opportunities can be tailored to your particular skills and time constraints.

  • Offer job shadowing or an internship at your company
  • Participate in a presentation to students about:
    • Careers within your company or industry
    • Interview skills and resume writing
    • Leadership and critical thinking
    • Team work and communication
  • Offer expertise to school leaders in technology, marketing, public relations or staff development
  • Schedule a field trip to tour your business
  • Assist with teacher or student recognition programs
  • Join forces with a local school in a community service project
  • Become a mentor or tutor for a student
  • Sponsor a club, project or class trip whose focus is to prepare students to be work ready
  • Be a Volunteer Resource Coordinator for a particular program

U.C. Clermont College was the site of the Clermont Youth Career Expo on April 8.
