If you would like to contribute in some way to the health, vitality and sustainability of our lake and the Lake of Bays community, we would like to hear from you.
Lake of Bays Association volunteers have been working to protect our shared waters since 1927. We are fortunate to have strong interest in serving on our committees and board, resulting in an active and committed group of volunteers. But ‘it takes a village’ and we are always looking to build our team and welcome new volunteers.
Who are we looking for?
We are looking for people who are passionate about Lake of Bays and who want to help us achieve our mission to “foster a healthy, natural environment, responsible waterfront development, a thriving community, and a Lake of Bays shared respectfully and safely by all”. Perhaps you have some experience to share, or just a keen interest in what we do and want to get involved.

If you are interested in serving as an ambassador for LOBA in your neighbourhood and helping us grow our membership, serving as an Area Steward for our Membership Committee may be of interest.

Our Environment Committee is engaged with several environmental groups and issues in Muskoka and is responsible for generating awareness, education and advocacy related to environmental issues. If you have a background in environmental science or simply care about protecting Muskoka’s environment, this committee may be a good fit for you.

We may also be needing volunteers for Water Quality Testing. No experience necessary. Training provided.

If you have an interest in land use planning or municipal government, your participation could be helpful to our Planning, Development & Government Relations Committee which monitors planning policy, development applications, municipal budgets and advocates on behalf of our members’ interests.

If you have an interest in helping LOBA raise awareness about what we do and share news and information that is important to our community, our Communications Committee could use your help. A background in communications, marketing, sales or public relations is applicable but not essential.

If your background is in strategy, finance or governance and you have an interest in serving on one of our committees, a position on our Board may be of interest.
