Dear Tennessee Senior Olympics Volunteer:
Why volunteer with the TSO?
Connect with others and take part in a program that changes lives. Serve knowing that you are sincerely making a difference. Fulfill one of the integral functions needed to conduct this large event. Bond and be inspired by the amazing senior athletes. You are needed!
Without people like yourself, this program would cease to exist. We received an email this week from an athlete who can no longer participate. She said,
"I am thinking about all the fun times the Senior Olympics offered me for over two decades. In my senior years, I got to do what I could not even do in high school or college. I finally found an outlet for my passion for running and my love of competition."
Whether you are a veteran with us or brand new, come be a part of a rewarding and fulfilling adventure with the 1,200 athletes we expect.
You are receiving this email because you have volunteered in the past or have expressed interest in becoming a Tennessee Senior Olympics volunteer.
As we enter our 11th year of a fantastic partnership, we are thrilled to once again collaborate with Hands on Nashville (HON) to help fill volunteer shifts.
We encourage you to register early, especially if you have a favorite shift or two!
Please go to this link:
VOLUNTEER NOW
and complete the online registration form. Please continue to periodically check the link as new shifts may become available as needs arise.
You will receive an email instantly with a schedule of your shifts. Please retain this email as confirmation of your registration.
Here is a little more information about our event:
-
WHEN: June 20 - June 26, 2025 - Williamson County, TN
-
WHAT: The Tennessee Senior Olympics is an Olympics-style sporting event comprised of 20 different sports for individuals aged 50 and older. Approximately 900 senior athletes from across Tennessee converge upon Williamson County in June to compete in the annual State Finals.
-
HOW: Many volunteers are needed to keep score, check-in participants, present awards, keep time, and help in general with the administration of this large sporting event. Whether you are experienced or not, there is a place for you. You will find that volunteering for the Tennessee Senior Olympics is a truly rewarding experience.
-
CORPORATE and PRIVATE GROUPS: Volunteering is a wonderful way to promote team building within a company, school, athletic teams, churches, youth groups, etc.
-
NEED COMMUNITY SERVICE HOURS? Our event is for you. With a long list of volunteer opportunities, you are sure to find something that will fit your schedule.
Please select ONLY the shifts you are willing and able to work.
Feel free to forward this email to anyone you feel will enjoy volunteering for this event. This is a wonderful opportunity for high school students to earn service hours for college.
Thanks so much for your consideration again this year.
