Admin volunteers needed!

Office volunteer- As a volunteer, you would be providing assistance to staff with basic administrative duties such as answering phones, help with mailings, data entry, filing and other clerical responsibilities as requested.

Family Caregiver and Support-   As a volunteer, you would be greeting participants, assisting with activities, coordinating speakers and activities, make activity flyers and helping with marketing. The time commitment is at least one day per week for 3 hours.

Senior Wheels Medical Transportation
As a volunteer, you would be providing transportation, with your personal vehicle, for ambulatory seniors to their preventive medical appointments in Guilford County.

One appointment per month unless otherwise noted; varies; one to three hours; Monday through Friday; 8:30 AM-5:00 PM

Training Material: Driver Registration Form and Senior Wheels Volunteer Information form must be completed and signed.

Must be at least 18 years old

Tutors needed!

Operation Xcel continues to need Tutor Volunteers at the Greensboro, High Point, and Stokesdale locations. Volunteers may come any day Monday through Friday from 2:30 pm to 6:00 pm. The after school program will begin September 12th. 

Tasks May Include:
  • Help Site Director, teachers, or tutors with daily tasks pertaining to students
  • Help students with homework in reading, math and/or science
  • Help set materials for students daily activities

Need volunteers with and without horse experience!

WITH experience- They are looking for leaders (age 16 & up). Additional training is required. 

WITHOUT horse experience- They are looking for sidewalkers (age 14 & up). Additional training is required. 

Barn team (11& up) to help clean stalls, fill hay and water, add shavings.

They need help everyday 4-6.

Volunteer & Serve with Community Housing Solutions to help preserve affordable housing in High Point!

Operation Inasmuch October 26, 2019 is a daylong service opportunity for your faith, business or civic group to Adopt-­a­- Homeowner and help repair a home for a low income family.

This year's fall event will be held in High Point's Burns Hill Neighborhood. Community Housing Solutions, a local nonprofit, will identify homeowners in need of assistance and provide skilled leadership for your group as you perform the repairs.

Help with tutoring and classes needed!


Help with newly arrived refugee and immigrant infants through age 5! Need is year round Monday through Friday, 9:30-12:30, and NAI seeks volunteers to assist preschool teachers one day per week.

After School Tutors- Get to know a student and family in this unique After School Tutoring program taking place at the home of students! You get to tutor once per week (or more if you wish) for 1 to 2 hours between 3:30pm and 7:00pm Monday through Friday, scheduled at your convenience. 

English Language Classroom Assistance - Assist Guilford Technical Community College English (GTCC) instructor in educating refugees and immigrants learning English, once per week, year round from Monday to Friday 9:30am to 12:30pm

Challenger Flag Football Coaches
Coaches needed for the Challenger Flag Football program. Volunteer coaches should have a desire to work with youth and young adults with disabilities, understand the game of flag football, complete a volunteer enrollment form, and be present for all Saturday practices/games.

Challenger Flag Football & Cheerleading Volunteers Needed
This eight-week cheerleading league for individuals with disabilities relies on the help of volunteers for all aspects. We need one-on-one volunteers to support both football players and cheerleaders as they learn and play at practices and games each Saturday from September through October at Proehlific Park, 4517 Jessup Grove Rd.

Folk Festival Parking Lot
Volunteers needed to help with the Hanes-Lineberry Funeral Home parking lot during the NC Folk Festival. Proceeds will benefit the Greensboro Mayor's Committee for Persons with Disabilities 33rd Annual Shopper's Day event. Please contact us if you or your group is interested in volunteering to help staff the parking lot.

Kirkman Park Garden Workday 9/28/19

Help to beautify the Kirkman Park Elementary School garden -- work will include rebuilding garden beds, and preparing the garden for fall.
