Join us in the battle against salt-marsh erosion.
Fight for the Marshes
We're just like you. Hikers, birders, photographers, artists, journalists, and outdoor fanatics. But the one thing we all truly have in common is our love for nature, specifically the magnificent wetlands of Jamaica Bay. The more volunteers we have, the greater progress we can all make towards the protection and management of our environment.

Join us this Spring
Whether protecting the health of your favorite fishing spot or ensuring your family's future generations experience the beauty of Jamaica Bay, volunteering allows you to follow your passion while contributing to a cause that's important to you.

Marsh Restoration
We need volunteers to help us in the process of replanting two newly restored marshes in Jamaica Bay. Families and friends are welcome to join us between April and May. Even one day of volunteering would be gratefully appreciated.

Jamaica Bay's salt marshes are disappearing at an estimated rate of 40 to 50 acres each year. Join us in our fight against marsh erosion and help to preserve the few remaining natural salt marshes in New York City. To find out more contact Don Riepe.

The exact dates for planting have not yet been finalized.
If you sign up today, we will update you when more information is available.
