The Greatest Gifts of All: Our Volunteers
|
|
As we near the end of a second year of a worrisome and turbulent pandemic, we are feeling hopeful and profoundly grateful.
We are grateful for our unmatched, best-of-class staff of clinical and non-clinical professionals, who have worked diligently to ensure that our patients have continued to safely receive the primary and behavioral health care and enabling and supportive services they need. Tantamount to this, providing community residents with convenient, accessible COVID-19 testing, vaccination and care (with more than 42,000 vaccine doses and 27,000 tests administered to date).
We are grateful to our engaged and supportive federal, state, municipal and community partners, who are together with us in this work, and we are gratified by and honor the trust and confidence that the community and our patients, longstanding and new, have placed in us. This considered, we feel a most special acknowledgement is also in order.

We wish to express our deep and abounding gratitude to our selfless, miraculous and tenacious Vaccine Volunteers who have come forward and wholly leaned in to make each vaccine possible. Week after week, month aafter month, A Volunteer Army stands shoulder-to-shoulder with our staff to help ensure that community residents have the best possible experience at the 180 Old Colony Ave. vaccine clinic in Quincy. We simply would not be able to provide the level and volume of response at the clinic without their heartfelt and committed support.
Regardless of the role they fill at the clinic -- greeting, assisting with wayfinding and patient flow, preparing vaccination cards, educating or easing anxiety – our Pandemic Response Team, with Volunteers as our lifeforce, do it in friendship and with intelligence, patience and good humor!
To our Vaccine Volunteers, THANK YOU! There is no greater gift than to bear witness to your service and partnership!

Manet had the honor of serving as Grand Marshal of the City of Quincy's 68th Christmas Parade, along with the Quincy Public Health Department, on November 28. Manet's COVID-19 Vaccine Clinic Volunteers and staff had a great vantage point from a float that led the parade down the three-mile stretch from Quincy Center to North Quincy.
