cities of Richmond and San Pablo.

Planning is under way for this year's parade, which will be held on Saturday, May 2, and volunteers are needed!

Volunteering is a great way to enjoy the parade while contributing to make it happen.

Organizers are looking for : Monitors, to walk the parade route helping to  keep the flow moving forward; Leaders, to help with parade participants on the day of the event; Traffic Directors, who are placed at strategic locations to help guide traffic; Float Directors, to help build floats prior to the parade; Check-In assistants for horse-riders; and General Helpers, to pitch in with all of the tasks that help make this parade a wonderful community tradition.

To learn more, attend a Volunteer Meeting on March 3, from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., at Los Cenzontles, 13108 San Pablo Ave., San Pablo.

Or contact Janet Ceja-Orozco, via email, preferred, (soccerjanet@yahoo.com), or by phone at 510-685-9401.

Check the Cinco de Mayo website for more. I'll send a parade reminder with details closer to the date.
Sincerely,
John
