Volunteers Needed for Important Homeless Count
Assessing the number of people without homes ensures adequate services. Your help is needed!
Contra Costa County is embarking on its annual count of the number of people living without homes. This homeless count is essential to ensuring adequate services, since funding for services is based on data and population numbers.

The County's Homeless Program is conducting the count, with help from community organizations, other agencies, and individuals. The point-in-time counts will be conducted on January 28, 29 and 30.

Volunteer interviewers are needed!

All volunteers are required to take a two-hour training, after which they're assigned a location in the community to interview individuals such as soup kitchens, food distribution sites, or healthcare facilities.

To learn more or to sign up to volunteer, go to the Homeless Program's website.

This year's count is a kick-off for Zero 2016, a national effort to end chronic and veteran homelessness.
Thanks in advance for your help,
