Volusia Online Learning Community Member,
We have an abbreviated issue of The Foxhole Flyer this week and I wanted to take a moment to convey some important reminders as we finish off the 1st semester:
- Although the official last day of the semester is December 15th, the target end date for the first segment of all courses is December 8th. This will allow students time to resubmit assignments or retake segment exams if needed. Remember, all full-time students are expected to complete all first semester work before Winter Break!
- Students who do not complete their course prior to Winter Break will be afforded the opportunity to complete any missing work over the break. However, their report card grade will reflect their work as of December 15th.
- It’s important to remember that teachers will be on break as well, therefore any work done over break will not be graded until January. Additionally, teachers will not be available for DBAs over break, which is why we are encouraging all DBAs to be completed this week.
As you can see, the main focus right now is finishing all courses prior to Winter Break. Please make sure that you are doing everything you can to help your child finish the first semester strong! That’s all I have this week.

More Senior News!
Orders for senior packs can be placed at www.herfforlando.com or you may order in person at the Herff Jones Winter Park office. No appointment is necessary. All items ordered EXCEPT the cap and gown will be shipped home. Caps and gowns will be distributed at school during the second semester. If you have any questions, please feel free to call the number below.
