Take Action - Senate Vote on Restaurant Relief and Tip Credit/Minimum Wage Expected Today

Today, the U.S. Senate is likely to vote on two amendments that are important to the restaurant industry – and we need you to engage with your Senators if you haven’t already.

There is a procedural vote today in support of the Senate version of the RESTAURANTS Act. This vital measure – sponsored by Senators Roger Wicker (R-MS) and Kyrsten Sinema (D-AZ) – would create a relief program for local independent and franchised restaurants. A bipartisan vote as soon as tomorrow will go a long way in our continued fight on behalf of the hospitality industry.

Additionally, there is strong momentum to raise the federal minimum wage in a short period to $15/hour, and eliminate the tip credit. A procedural vote on this issue has been slated.

Please add your name to our grassroots petitions below, and stay tuned for more updates. We thank you for your ongoing support and engagement!
