November is the season of giving. This month we gather to give thanks and to be grateful for all we have. EcoAction Arlington is grateful for you and all our members, volunteers, and supporters who give us the lift we need to exist and carry on with our mission.
We're excited to announce our ambitious Giving Tuesday goal of $10,000 for a greener Arlington! This year we are joining Spur Local's #GivingTuesday campaign on Tuesday, November 28, including a special Power Hour between 3-4 p.m. We ask, if you are planning to give to EcoAction Arlington this season, that you give here during 3-4 p.m. on November 28 to help us reach our Giving Tuesday goal. Together we can make a real impact on our environment and community. We thank you for your continued support.

Congratulations Board Member Melody Mobley!
Melody Mobley, EcoAction Arlington Board member, was recently recognized by the State of Maryland Department of Natural Resources for her pioneering efforts as the USDA Forest Service's first black female forester. A dedication ceremony took place on October 21 at the Benjamin Banneker Historical Park and Museum. Melody's accomplishments echo the legacy of innovation and determination that Banneker himself embodied. We were honored when Mrs. Wanda Durant, mother of NBA star Kevin Durant, acknowledged EcoAction Arlington in her remarks. Staff and Board members also had the privilege of meeting Mrs. Durant. A special moment was when Jennifer Yates, EcoAction Arlington Board Chair, showcased her thriving Sycamore tree that was planted two years ago. | |
