International Research Mobility

Why are doctoral students and postdocs interested in conducting research abroad? What information do they need? A worldwide survey by DAAD and Research in Germany seeks to answer these questions. With your help, we can further improve the services available to international researchers. The survey only takes about 15 minutes to complete.

Application Tip #42
Who should write a recommendation letter for me?

When choosing a reference, make sure to not only chose someone of significant academic standing (i.e. not a peer), but also someone who knows you well and can speak to the merit of your project proposal and to you as a candidate.

No entry to the German higher education system? Prepare yourself with KLU!
As the German Abitur (high school leaving certificate) is held to such a high standard, it is often quite difficult for international applicants to meet the equivalent. With international high school diplomas, direct entry is usually not an option. In order to bridge the gap, KLU offers students the opportunity to complete our Preparation Program at our partner institution in Berlin. Check our website!
