Please join us on Sunday October 19 at 10am for a free session about the Vic Skolnick Life of Our Cinema Campaign, what it means to be a volunteer campaigner, and the history and impact of our cinema.

This session is for anyone interested in learning more about what it means to be a volunteer campaigner, and/OR for anyone who wants to learn more about the history, impact, and finances of the Cinema Arts Centre.

This sesssion will also help build knowledge and skills for existing volunteers.

ALL are welcome.

Just Announced: A Special Video Message from Academy Award Winner Sean Baker to Our Cinema Community!

On Sunday October 5, join us for our opening night of our Limited Series Presented by the CAC Committere for Gender Awareness and Empowerment.

We will have a reception at 6pm, followed by a screening of Academy Award Winning Director Sean Baker's TANGERINE at 7pm. Sean sent a special video message to our community that we will play before the film.

The screening will be followed by a discussion and Q & A with the committtee.

On Wednesday, October 15th at 7 PM, don't miss your chance to see Juli Grey-Owens - Founder and Executive Director of Gender Equality New York Inc (GENY) - who will present The Language of Gender. Curious about what the term “transgender” really means? Wonder why some people feel their gender doesn’t match their birth sex? Or what the differences are between gender identity, gender expression, biological sex, and sexual orientation? Join us for a fact-filled, eye-opening presentation exploring gender diversity and the challenges faced by gender-expansive people.
