There are two at large seats available for Culver City Unified School District Board of Education. Please choose immigration advocate Sameen Ahmadnia for CCUSD as one of them! I need a colleague with heart who values providing opportunities for all of our students to thrive. Her platform is Access, Wellness, and Achievement for all.
Sameen has the will and skill to carefully research and consider topics relevant to board action. She cares for respectful discourse and does not vilify community members when they disagree. Rather than discrediting the district and staff, she values careful review of data and student outcomes, providing insight to our leaders to continue adjusting and iterating in continuous improvements in education. She does not just shake her fist in the air and yell, demanding accountability. She desires working partnerships that produce solutions and outstanding results. Her interest in the whole health of our students - including achievement, safe and climate resilient facilities, and affirmation of their identities through a culture of care - is valued by so many.
Sameen has a long track record of giving her time, energy, and expertise pro bono to those who need it the most - advocating for folks in our community during their journey to citizenship, as evidenced in the 🔗Los Angeles Times. Her experience does not include democratic family ties or lifelong political aspirations. She has never been on an LA County ballot before now. She's a caring mom and friend who has a calling to public service - she entered this race last, juggling family and balancing this campaign, boldly putting herself out there because she knows the stakes are high. She's one of us - someone who wants our public education system to work for all of us and not just for a privileged few. She represents us all, standing up for our students and staff.
Let's support our whole community - all of our students, staff, and interest holders will benefit from Sameen's leadership. You can read more about her at 🔗sameenforccusd.com and on her 🔗candidate profile at Westside Voice - L.A.
