We have built a Métis government based on our shared vision of self-government. Others may have different visions and can pursue their own paths; however, our choices and path—as the Métis Nation within Alberta—must be respected.

Sustainability Tip Of The Week
Baby animal in need? What to know and what to do!
Spring is here and you may come across wildlife such as birds, bunnies, fawns, or squirrels.
Many animals such as deer, rabbits, and birds will leave their offspring during the day while they look for food. It is important to assess the situation before you “rescue” or move a wildlife animal. If the animal is injured, pick it up with gloves and put it in a cardboard box with a towel, make air holes, and transport it to the nearest wildlife rescue.
To ensure you are protecting yourself and the animal, research the situation and call the wildlife hotline for instructions.
Wildlife hotline: 403-946-2361
