WEEKLY UPDATES

A glimpse into our office's week

Health Bill Updates

On Wednesday, Congressmen Brian Fitzpatrick (R-PA), Rob Bresnahan (R-PA), Ryan Mackenzie (R-PA), and Mike Lawler (R-PA), broke with party lines to force a vote on the Affordable Care Act. Additionally, S.260 Veterinary Services to Improve Public Health in Rural Communities Act passed the Senate, and now moves to the House.

Senate Passes Update to the NATIVE Act

The Senate unanimously passed the Native American Tourism and Improving Visitor Experience Act, marking a major step for tribal tourism programs. The updated act broadens coordination among federal agencies with tourism responsibilities and improves access to grants, technical assistance, and strategic planning support for tribes and Native organizations.

Week of Military Changes

The Senate passed the annual National Defense Authorization Act for fiscal year 2026, sending it to President Trump's desk for signature. The NDAA is the premier piece of must-pass legislation each year, required to fund the United States' armed forces around the world.
