Freshman Family Newsletter
April 2019
Dear Class of 2022 Families,

Spring has finally arrived on campus, and the countdown to summer has begun. It’s incredible to think that April 26 marks the conclusion of classes and the near completion of our students’ first year at William & Mary. Wasn’t it just yesterday we were reading that acceptance message and preparing to move them into their freshman dorm?

William & Mary’s sixth annual giving day, One Tribe One Day, will be on Tuesday, April 16! It’s a day for giving back and paying it forward, and we hope you will support the Parents Fund and funds that are meaningful for you. With opportunities to engage with the campus community in real time, we hope you will participate on social media #OneTribeOneDay . One person, one gift can make all the difference. Learn more about One Tribe One Day below!

Best wishes for a happy spring! And as always, if you have any questions, please don't hesitate to reach out!

Sincerely,
Julie and Mike Matthews P’22

Double Congratulations!!

Over the course of the year, First Year Experience hires many student leaders! Thus far, FYE has conducted over 650 interviews and we are pleased to have offered 225 Orientation Aide positions and 4 Directorate positions to students at W&M. We are looking forward to cultivating these student leaders in their positions and are excited for all they will bring to the FYE Office in support of W&M students during transitions in their college experience!

All students are invited to attend Queen & King Ball, where we will be celebrating the end of the year with food and dance and recognizing the wonderful contributions of women on this campus! Tickets will go on sale in March, and Student Assembly would love to see as many people there as possible!
