Powering Through Finals
Finals can be a stressful time for students so here are some things you can do to help!

  • Encourage Self Care: Remind your student to get regular sleep, take breaks, get outside, socialize, and eat regular meals.

  • Work Smart Not Hard: Break large projects/studying for exams exams up into sections, attend study sessions, & go to office hours. Don't be afraid to ask for help!

  • Moral Support: Call your student and offer words of encouragement, make sure they know you are there for them, and reassure them of their efforts.

In addition, a great resource for students is William & Mary's Health & Wellness Center. The wellness center provides free classes, workshops, and mindfulness initiatives for students to help manage stress. Students are also invited to stop by the FYE tables in Sadler and Swem for apple cider, hot cocoa, study supplies, and some extra study motivation!
