Since 2017, the World Affairs Councils of America has presented the annual WACA Chairman's Individual Award to recognize a Council staff member's "outstanding leadership and dedication, not only for the benefit of the Council and the region it serves, but also in the example the honoree sets for the nationwide network of World Affairs Councils."

Megan Clark Torrey is currently the Chief Executive Officer of the World Affairs Council of Connecticut.
Megan became the Executive Director in March 2014, after having served as Program Director since 2003. She oversees the development and delivery of world-class programming that educates the community on global affairs.
