World Affairs-Northern California's Youth Podcast Contest
|
|
World Affairs has launched its first Youth Podcast Contest: Your World in Sound. Youth between the ages of 14 and 24 have the chance to win $500 and to collaborate with the World Affairs' radio and podcast team to produce a story about their place in the world! Young voices are often missing from the conversation, and this contest is a chance to share that perspective with the world to better understand key policy issues. Submissions are open until April 1, 2022.
The contest is open nationwide. Audio samples do not need to be completed, polished pieces and the contest is open to those with all levels of experience. The contest is an opportunity for young podcasters and storytellers to showcase their skills and for winners to learn and develop them more.

The World Affairs Council of Philadelphia organizes the Travel the World trips for Councils in the WACA network and has been doing so for over 40 years. Tour leaders are drawn from WACA leadership; experts from the fields of diplomacy, journalism, or academia accompany some tours as lecturers, thereby providing added value to the experience.
