Amanda Bennett
, Director of the Voice of America, is a Pulitzer Prize-winning investigative journalist, editor, and author of six books. Before her March 2016 appointment to lead VOA, she served as Executive Editor of Bloomberg News and prior to that was named the first female Editor of The Philadelphia Inquirer in the 174 years since the paper's founding in 1829. Bennett shared the 1997 Pulitzer Prize for national reporting with her Wall Street Journal colleagues, and in 2001 led a team from
The Oregonian to a Pulitzer for public service. Together with her husband, Donald Graham, she is a co-founder of TheDream.US, which provides college scholarships to the children of undocumented immigrants.
