Triton Bay (where we had exceptional diving conditions with fantastic visibility, exceptional corals and macro fauna) we now find ourselves again in the enchanting zone of

Wayag, the Dampier Straits and Misool. What a privilege to immerse ourselves in these waters where we will stay here until the end of March. If you are tempted to join us you can take advantage of some of our
current special offers.
For our November newsletter the team has a new addition, we look back on our fabulous cruise
Moluccas and West Papua, we invite you to swim amongst the worlds largest fish and also invite you to meet us at the upcoming dive shows in January at Paris, Dusseldorf and Zürich.

Staring from December 9 we welcome aboard
Mathieu Porraro, in training to become Cruise Director.
With Mathieu, diving is a family affair. Originally from Switzerland his first bubbles were in Lake Geneva accompanied by his father who handed down his passion. In parallel to his studies in business and economics, Mathieu travelled and continued his training to become an Instructor. He discovered the Mediterranean, Australia, The Red Sea, The Maldives and Indonesia, also getting involved in technical diving and underwater photography.
In 2014 he did a 3-month internship on WAOW and literally fell in love with the boat and all that the Indonesian waters could offer. During his time onboard he proved his professionalism and excellent contact with our passengers.
It is natural therefore that we proposed for him to come back with us. He didn't hesitate and resigned from his job as a Brand Manager for a luxury car company. Mathieu now begins a new career attached directly to his passion.

Cenderawasih Bay
Festival of Whalesharks
In 2018 there are only 2 cruises on WAOW programmed to explore
Cenderawasih Bay:
From 21 to 31 January and followed by 3 to 13 February.
Located to the North of Raja Ampat this large bay is partially classified as a National Park and is a nursery to some 1800 known marine species. From Manokwari to Biak, our 10 night itinerary will allow you to discover the best sites within the bay, diving Japanese wrecks from WWII, drop-offs frequented by pelagics and preserved sea and landscapes.
The icing on the cake remains undeniably the concentration of whale sharks around the Bagans. (Local fishing platforms specially conceived for "Ikan" fishing, a type of anchovy that the Indonesians love) You will be able to immerse yourself in whale-shark company like never before.
Don't miss out on the land excursion to see the birds of paradise accompanied by the local guides.
A voyage where time has stopped and nature is sublime. A return to the source.

A look back on our
new cruise from Ambon to Kaïmana last October. This first edition of the cruise was a great success and we couldn't resist sharing it with you.
Beyond expectations the combination of sites chosen (
Seram, Palau Suanggi, Palau Ai, Koon, Triton Bay) for this itinerary turned out fruitful and offered us a variety of marine and land experiences full of surprises.
With the diving first we encountered 9 species of sharks (
grey, guitar, black and white tips, whale, hammerhead, tiger, thresher and carpet), plus several rays (
oceanic mantas, mobula and eagle). Lovers of the pelagics were ecstatic.
Lovers of macro photography were also pretty joyful:
harlequin shrimp, boxer crabs, pigmy sea horses Denise, Santa Claus and Bargibanti in several colours, several types of frog fish, tozuma shrimp, ghost pipe fish and a plethora of nudibranchs.
Above the surface we visited the islands of
Nailaka and Kurkap, discovered the waterfall of
Kiti-Kiti, explored the lagoons of
Monowaka and
Mauwara and admired the ancient paintings in the area of Kaïmana.
A true "Full House" that will remain engraved in our memories and in those of our passengers. If you also are tempted by this adventure, please be advised that we will redo the cruise
from 14th to 25th April 2018 and there are a few remaining spaces available. Don't wait too long to reserve your spot.
