This summer, SJCE is supporting the Emergency Load Response Program (ELRP), designed to reward customers who reduce their electricity use during a grid emergency or a Flex Alert. Customers who are enrolled in CARE/FERA programs and whose electricity bills total more than $2,000 per year were automatically enrolled in ELRP in May and will receive an incentive rate of $2/kilowatt-hour after the emergency or alert has occurred if they reduced their use.
