Labor Day Special

This Labor Day join  Building Bridges,  who with our invited guests, the Rev. William Barber, Oscar Lopez Rivera, Senator Bernie Sanders, Harry Belafonte, and our sisters and brothers, the movers and shakers in their work places, from around the country, and some of the most prestigious labor and economic analysts around together will tackle the major questions of how to “build bridges”, to agitate, organize, educate and cooperate.  In other words, we’ll talk about how we the workers, we the people defeat the plutocracy and bring Power To The People!

Live Broadcast of the
Kavanaugh Confirmation Hearing

The Senate Judiciary Committee’s confirmation hearing for Judge Brett Kavanaugh begins on Tuesday September 4 th at 9:30 am. It is expected to run for three to four days. WBAI will broadcast these hearings live and will provide opportunities for listeners to phone in to give their perspective and voice their concerns. WBAI hosts will provide contextual commentary as the hearings proceed.

How meaningful it was to me to hear a favorite writer whose book of short
stories I have cherished for many years. I believe my book of hers came out in 1970.
