Matchmakers + Meet & Greets

Join WBEC-East as we virtually bring together certified WBEs with supplier diversity executives from our Corporate and Government Members to create meaningful procurement conversations.

A Meet & Greet is like speed-dating for small business owners with their targeted clients. Participating Corporate Members will host timed roundtables throughout the morning and afternoon on 12/6 to meet in small groups with up to 5 WBEs at a time.

Certified WBEs sign up in advance for a Meet & Greet roundtable with the corporation of their choice. During your meeting, you and up to 4 other WBEs will meet for 20 minutes with the corporate representative. You’ll go around the room to pitch your business, and the corporate representative will share their procurement processes and opportunities. After 20 minutes you’ll leave the meeting and hop onto another roundtable meeting to meet a different corporation.

There will be 3 rounds in the morning and 3 rounds in the afternoon on Tuesday 12/6, which means you can meet up to 6 different corporate representatives. Register multiple people from your company to divide and conquer even more Meet & Greet meetings!

This is an excellent opportunity to get that initial “handshake” with potential corporate clients, while meeting other WBEs at the same time!

Register by 11/16 – Scheduling opens 11/17!

Women-owned businesses need our support now more than ever!

The impact of the pandemic, shortages and current economic turmoil has further widened the disparity between women-owned businesses, particularly those owned by women of color, and other businesses.

This year, we ask you to take the #MakeOneSwitch movement one step further. This holiday season, try to help your friends, family and coworkers discover a new favorite Women Owned brand by gifting an essential that will help them make the switch to sourcing more of their everyday needs from Women Owned businesses. Practical gifting (always a winner in our book) meets supporting women entrepreneurs – what is not to love?
