Summer Quarterly News Update

Welcome to a new school year, Work-Based Learning Division Members!

As August unfolds, so does the excitement and energy of a fresh school year. For work-based learning (WBL) coordinators, this season is especially busy as you create meaningful connections between students and their future careers, and between business partners and the workforce of tomorrow. Your dedication and hard work are what make these opportunities possible–thank you for all that you do!

The ACTE WBL Division is already off to a great start after our first webinar on Aug. 22 focused on “Preparing Students for an AI-Infused Workplace.” ACTE WBL Division members can access the recording and resources from this webinar on the WBL Division website soon.

Following the success of the 2024 WBL Conference, we’re already gearing up for the next ACTE National WBL Conference in Bellevue, Washington, happening April 24. The call for proposals opens on Sept. 3, so be sure to bookmark the conference website for the latest updates.

In line with our division strategic plan, the WBL Division is committed to offering more opportunities for connection, support and collaboration. We are excited to continue the WBL Mentoring program again this year, with our first meeting scheduled for Sept.10 at 3:00 p.m. EST. Register here.

Wishing you a successful and inspiring school year!
