About PDF files - A PDF file created from WBS Schedule Pro can be opened by anyone with a PDF reader without having the WBS Schedule Pro software installed. Most computers have a PDF reader installed.
Creating PDF Files - Many people use the term "Saving" to a PDF file but in WBS Schedule Pro (and many other programs) you "Print" to create a PDF file. This is why you don't see a PDF option when saving a file in WBS Schedule Pro. You create PDF files by printing them using all of the features available for printing directly to a printer.
The PDF Writer - Just like a Printer Driver that needs to be installed before you can print, you need a PDF Writer to create a PDF file. A PDF writer is not included in WBS Schedule Pro but you may already have one installed. Look in your list of printers for any potential PDF Writer. If not, free ones are readily available on the internet.
Configuring the Paper Size - Remember, you must specify the Paper Size before printing!
To configure the Paper Size:
- Select File-Page Setup.
- Select the Printer drop down list and choose a PDF Writer (the CutePDF Writer shown below is one we have used for years).
- Select the Paper Size drop down list and pick the desired size.
