Groundwater Sustainability Plan Virtual Workshop on Sustainable Management Criteria

We’re inviting the public to participate in the Groundwater Sustainability Plan sustainable management criteria virtual workshop on Wednesday, March 10 from 4–6 p.m. Learn how these criteria are defined, and how they support our larger effort to achieve the region’s groundwater management goals. More information is available here.
Draft Water Shortage Contingency Plan to be Released for Public Review

SCV Water anticipates releasing the draft Water Shortage Contingency Plan and Ordinance for public review and comment on March 12. There will be a 30-day public comment period to solicit input and feedback on both draft documents. The Board of Directors will then hold a public meeting to adopt the Water Shortage Contingency Plan and Ordinance on April 26, where the public can also provide input. The draft plan and ordinance will be made available online at: yourscvwater/wscp
Third Workshop Scheduled for Urban Water Management Plan

On March 22, we are holding our third virtual Urban Water Management Plan public workshop where participants will learn how this updated plan assesses long term water reliability through build out (2050), and learn about the area’s seismic risk and the mitigation plan to ensure continued water supplies after disruptive and catastrophic events. A flyer about this event as well as recordings of prior public workshops and presentations are available at: yourscvwater/uwmp.

SCV Water encourages the public to get involved in our planning process through public workshops, public comments and hearings. Resources on all of these events, information and videos from prior public workshops and more can be found on our interactive dashboard
