You may have noticed all the recent activity on our tennis courts. Our Activities Director, Maribeth, has made arrangements with local USTPA tennis pro Guy Moore to provide lessons and clinics in Winding Cypress. The Board and Tennis Committee also agree that having a pro available for the community is a great opportunity for residents to learn the game or brush up on skills, promote the use of our court sports, and build a solid tennis program. All scheduling and fees are paid directly to the pro by the resident, much like our other instructor-led activities, at no additional cost to the community.

We understand there has been some concern about “outsiders” using our amenities, including the tennis courts. We want to assure you that the board does not approve of this practice, and both Jade and Maribeth have advised the pro of our position. This program is open and available to Winding Cypress owners, legal tenants, and resident guests only.

In the short term, we have asked Maribeth to solicit interest in working with our pro. Should interest prove to be sufficient, Maribeth and the tennis committee will provide more structure around our future tennis program.
