Week 1 Completed
Week one of the WCA Group Health Trust (GHT) Resolution Recharge Challenge is done. Did you remember to record your weight? If not, remember to do it today. During the challenge you track your weight each week. At the midway point of the challenge you will report the number of pounds you lost. Anyone that reports their progress will be entered in a drawing for prizes.

Weight Loss Tips
One way to help reduce the number of calories consumed each day is to monitor your portion size. You may be surprised how many extra calories you are consuming with larger than recommended portions.

To monitor your portion size, begin by reading the food labels and following the portion size the label suggests. As you read food labels you may also notice that some foods are healthier than others. Educate yourself on what you are eating each day and try to pick healthier foods. Additionally eat your food slowly. Eating slowly can help you feel full and assist in keeping your portion sizes down.

2020 GHT Challenge Schedule
9 th Annual Fitness Challenge
Teams of up to 4 people compete with others from across the state. During the challenge participants will track their activity for each week. Their total points for the week will then be reported to their team leader.
April 5-May 16


Walking Challenge
GHT members record their walking activity and report their progress. Prizes are awarded to those that report their progress.
September 6-October 3

3 For 3 Challenge
Members will earn points for following the USDA recommendations of eating 2 ½ cups of vegetables and 2 cups of fruit daily, while also doing 30 minutes of moderate to vigorous activity each day. Participants that follow the guidelines and report their points will be eligible to award their local food pantry a donation from the GHT.
