Kindergarten Staggered Start
At WCA, we employ a special transition process to ensure our kindergarteners have a positive start to their school year. Rather than all of kindergarten starting on the same day, we have small groups of students come in. These smaller groups help to ease the transition by allowing students to connect and build relationships, become comfortable in their new environment, and learn procedures with more individualized teacher support.
Students with a last name beginning:
A-M attend 8/15/23 (no school 8/16, return on 8/17)- Formal Uniforms
N-Z attend 8/16/23 (no school 8/15, return on 8/17)- Formal Uniforms
8/15 and 8/16 Kindergarten will begin at 8:30am. This will ensure you avoid the carline traffic. Parents are encouraged to park at Plum Creek Church (next to the school) and walk down. The gym doors will open at 8:10am. Parents and guardians are asked to stay until 10:00am (optional school tour extends time to 10:30). Students will stay until 3:30pm.

Parent Presentation Foreign Language Learning
We are excited to offer our families the opportunity to hear and ask questions from a language learning expert. Join us in the WCA gym, Tuesday, August 8, 2023 at 4:45 for pizza and 5:15 for the presentation. Discover how students learn language, why learning language matters, and how you can support your student in developing second language skills.
The school is providing pizza and childcare. There is no cost for the pizza or childcare, but donations to help off-set the cost will be accepted. Pizza will be available beginning at 4:45.
Please RSVP so we ensure we have the correct amount of pizza and childcare supervision.
