Middle School Elective

Take a look at the amazing artwork our Middle School completed in Trimester 2 in Ms. Tripp's elective class. The assignment was to paint a master study of a printed picture. It was a recreation of what they saw using grids.

CMAS Testing

CMAS ELA and Math testing will be taking place March 28th, 29th, 30th and 31st for all 3rd-8th grade students. Additionally, 5th and 8th grade students will complete CMAS Science testing April 11th-12th. During testing days please refrain from making any avoidable appointments for your student(s) as make-up testing takes students away from structure class time.

For more information regarding the importance of testing and how we use the data, please visit the WCA state mandated testing link. You can also view a detailed schedule for testing at WCA.

CMAS Performance

Gifted Identification

Teachers have been working hard to prepare students for CMAS testing and alleviate any test anxiety. At home please try to maintain positivity surrounding tests. We saw an increase in our scores last year when we "pumped up" kids both at home and school before testing. Students came to school excited to showcase their knowledge on the test. One strategy to reduce testing anxiety and reinforce important test taking strategies at home would be to watch the following videos with your student:

#1 Good Night Sleep

#2 Eat a Healthy Breakfast

#3 Stretching/Relaxation

Test Taking Skills
