Administrator Note
Dear World Compass Academy Community,
We are impressed by the resiliency of our students. COVID19 has brought a lot of changes to World Compass Academy. Through these changes, we have seen our students grow together. Some of our favorite moments have been:
-
Watching one student take off their mask to offer it to another student who had forgotten. (Yes, we know it defeats the purpose, but it was so sweet.)
-
Middle school students (of their own volition) scrubbing scuff marks off the floor to help our custodial team.
-
The second grade classes all respond in chorus, "Thanks for noticing." to any compliment.
These events help remind us that our kids are embodying the Cougars Essentials and are becoming good, kind, strong people that can "Go Anywhere and Do Anything! Thanks for sharing your students with us!
Warm Regards,
Bethany, Krista, and Amanda

Nurse Notes
Masks
Please remember to send your student to school with a mask or two every day. Masks covering the nose and mouth are required when transitioning from car to classroom and during carline. Please make sure your student has a mask before getting out of the car. Students grades 5-8 must wear masks while in the building and at carline. Masks covering the nose and mouth are also required at walk up for parents and students until no longer on WCA property. If you do not have your mask, you will be asked to use carline.
Thank you for your cooperation in keeping students and staff safe.
Flu Season Flu season officially starts October first. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, reducing the spread of respiratory illnesses, like flu, this fall and winter is more important than ever. CDC has worked with vaccine manufacturers to have extra flu vaccine available this flu season. Manufacturers have already begun distributing flu vaccine and will continue to distribute vaccine throughout the season. CDC recommends getting a flu vaccination in September or October but getting vaccinated anytime during the flu season can help protect you. Use the VaccineFinder link to find a place near you for vaccinations.
