The performance is the first of three WCAC will host in commemoration of the agency's Head Start program's 25th anniversary. The performances will increase Head Start children's knowledge and appreciation of music and the fine arts, which play an important role in children's language learning, reading ability, creativity and overall growth and development. Families will be encouraged to participate wit their children, creating a community-enriching atmosphere.

"We are most grateful to the Southbridge Cultural Council for their support of these performances," noted WCAC Executive Director Jill C. Dagilis. "The impact arts education has is immeasurable, enabling and fostering creativity through all stages of life. We are thrilled to be able to share these performances with our children and their families as well as the greater Southbridge community."

The program is supported in part by a grant from the Southbridge Cultural Council, a local agency which is supported by the Massachusetts Cultural Council, a state agency.
