New Berlin Public Library Names New Director

A warm congratulations goes out to Barbara Dreger for her recent promotion to Director of the New Berlin Library.  Barb started at the New Berlin Public Library straight out of library school, 32 years later, the library has the privilege of welcoming her as their new director.  In her new position Barb is looking forward to working with the community and furthering the enhancement of the library as a great destination for its patrons.  As technology continues to develop in leaps and bounds one of Barbs many goals is to keep the library relevant in this fast changing lane.  One of Barb's favorite attributes of the library is the Summer Reading Program.  Barb comments, "It's so great to see all the activity and all the kids that come in to participate and attend our fabulous programs."  In her free time, she likes staying active by going on walks and remodeling her home with her husband.

Thank you for all your years of hard work and dedication to the New Berlin Public Library, wishing you nothing but success!

Make It! Series
In September, the Pauline Hass Public Library launched its new "Make It Series," as a way to provide new experiences and a little socializing for the library's active community.  The program features DIY (Do It Yourself) projects.   The hugely successful first event was greeted by a full house of enthusiastic soap makers.  The series was spear-headed by librarians Becky Murray and Adele Loria after watching a Webinar on another library's program of DIY projects.  Becky comments, "I was looking to supplement these [adult programs] with a more unique experience for our patrons."  The Make It! Series is set to continue its programs in the spring.

New eReader Brochures
Updated eReader brochures are available for download.  Three brochures are available detailing eBook check out on Kindles, through ePub, and on tablets.  Please download and add your library's contact info.

New Website for Pewaukee Public Library

After much anticipation, this October, the Pewaukee Public Library launched their new website. Syncing with the release of the library's new logo, the website launch couldn't have come at a better time.  Patrons and staff are thrilled with the sleekness and ease of the new website.  Supported by WordPress, an easy to use site building platform, the website is now interactive, adapted to mobile, and a fresh look for the library.  Beth Savagian of the Pewaukee Public Library comments, "Staff was quickly trained and we now have several staff members who can easily enhance and maintain the site from any location."  Partnered with the company Engaged Patrons the site is complete with an event calendar, online registration, and the ability to cross share events between social media and the site.  The Pewaukee Public Library looks forward to the continued improvement of the site and appreciates all the positive feedback the new website has received so far.   Visit the New Website!
