VOLLEYBALL SEASON POSTPONED
WCJC's volleyball and baseball teams will not compete this fall due to concerns over the COVID-19 pandemic. All competition has been postponed to Spring 2021.

WCJC ACCEPTS RETIREMENTS

WCJC recently lost several long-time employees to retirement. The most recent was Karen Bishop, pictured above, who worked here 19 years. Other recent retirements included Mike Gorka (23 years), Deborah Popek (15 years), Mike Esparza (23 years), Deborah Yancey (22 years), Amy Conover (15 years) and Corrine Reutter (10 years). Each employee was presented an award of appreciation as well as a resolution adopted by the WCJC Board of Trustees.
SKILLS DEVELOPMENT GRANT
A Texas Workforce Commission grant will enable WCJC to provide training area businesses need in the midst of COVID-19.

SUPPORTING ATHLETICS
WCJC's baseball and volleyball teams have both benefited from the generosity of Prosperity Bank, which recently provided funds for a scoring table and a ballpark tarp.

CARES ACT PROVIDES FUNDING
The federal CARES Act is providing emergency relief funds to WCJC students financially impacted by changes in college operations related to COVID-19.
