CARR SIGNS WITH NEW MEXICO
WCJC sophomore baseball player Alec Carr recently signed to play baseball at the University of New Mexico after his career as a Pioneer. Carr had a .323 average with 15 home runs his freshman year at WCJC and was named a 2020 Pre-Season All American.

AUTOMOTIVE TECHNOLOGY
The WCJC Automotive Technology program utilizes cutting-edge technology and hands-on training to prepare graduates for rewarding careers as automotive technicians.

VETERANS DAY  

WCJC students recently participated in a Veteran's Day program at the Wharton campus. Organized by Young Life College, the event included a flag raising ceremony, patriotic music and refreshments. Guests included District 85 State Representative Phil Stephenson, the WCJC Police Academy cadets, area veterans, American Legion post representatives, students and staff. Several students brought family members who had served in the military as a way of acknowledging their sacrifice. Young Life College is sponsored by WCJC psychology instructor Jodie Hutchinson.
SENIOR CITIZENS 'WILL' EVENT
The WCJC Senior Citizens program recently held a special event at the LaDieu Technology Center where seniors were able to receive information about the legalities of crafting a will and testament.
NUCLEAR POWER VISITORS
WCJC's Nuclear Power Technology program in Bay City attracted international guests recently for a tour. Visitors came from such places as Ghana, Poland, Jordan, Sri Lanka, Nigeria, and Kenya. The visit was sponsored by Texas A&M.

PAOLETTI, JOHNSON EARN HONORS
WCJC Choir members Hannah Johnson of Bay City and Nick Paoletti of Sugar Land will perform with the All-State Choir next February in San Antonio.

HARDING MAKES ALL-STATE BAND
It wasn't a family tradition or a caring mentor that inspired WCJC Band student Sophia Harding to take interest in playing the flute. It was a video game.
